Users who came to Mac later in life cited previous problems with PC reliability as the impetus for their switch. People described the user interface as friendly and intuitive, and they especially liked that they didn't need to manage additional antivirus software. Respondents generally felt that Macs were useful right out of the box, less likely to get viruses and required lower maintenance than their PC counterparts. Many Mac users cited ease of use as their primary reason for choosing Mac over PC. Here are the top reasons Team Mac members gave for their loyalty to Apple's line of products. Of course, there were also Mac fans in other fields, but these were the most commonly cited areas of employment by far. A smaller but still noticeable number of respondents reported working in design and as independent freelancers (mostly in content production, performance, media and motivational speaking). Interestingly, there was also consistency across the type of businesses the Mac respondents were in.Ī disproportionately large percentage of those on Team Mac reported working in marketing and corporate coaching.
While there were many responses, they only gave a handful of reasons for creating a Mac workplace. Mac loyalists never miss a chance to proclaim their devotion to Apple, so it was unsurprising that dozens of business owners answered our call for a final say on the Mac vs.

While the feature does work with iPads, it has to be initiated on the Mac - if you were hoping to sling a file over to your Mac using an Apple Pencil or your finger, you’re out of luck (as fun as that sounds).Īpple says the feature doesn’t require any setup (besides having your two devices being logged in with the same Apple ID and having Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Handoff turned on), but until we actually use it there’s no way to know how quick and reliable it might be. It is worth noting that, according to Apple’s site, there are a few small caveats for Universal Control - it will only work with three devices (so Apple was showing its full capabilities in this demo), and it won’t work on every device getting the new versions of macOS and iPadOS. While Logitech’s Flow and programs like Synergy have similarly allowed users to easily jump between computers, it’s usually not this impressive in real life - some solutions require special hardware, some don’t support actually dragging and dropping, and some have complicated setups. The feature is called Universal Control, and could be incredible if it actually works this well.
